Is A Body Rub Considered Prostitition?

You may have asked yourself this before but still are not really sure. I will clarify some of the

legal sides of that in this article for you.

First off, a body rub is legal as long as you do not exchange, engage in or act in any sexual

or sensual manners especially for money. This may surprise you but even talking about sex with

a client can be considered prostitution. And it's definitely not worth the risk.

For one reason, a police officer is allowed to come in civilian clothes and solicit you for sex. If

you agree, you would get arrested immediately while it's seemingly okay for him/her to entrap you.

Never hold yourself out as a massage therapist, massuese, or someone who does therapeutic

massages. A body rub is an alternative method to that, not meant to heal. It's simply meant for

relaxation of the mind, body, and spirit. A body rub is also legal because you do not prescribe

drugs, perform surgery, or diagnose medical conditions.

Alternative methods may include but are not limited to: Practices in which only the soft tissue of

a person's hands, feet, or ears are manipulated, Practices using touch, words, and directed

movements to deepen a person's awareness of movement patterns in his or her body, such as the

Feldenkrais method, the Trager approach, and body-mind centering, Practices using touch to

affect the human energy systems, such as reiki, shiatsu, and Asian or polarity bodywork therapy,

Structural integration practices such as Rolfing and Hellerwork,  The process of muscle

 activation techniques.

A great place to ask someone is askalawyer.com where lawyers will answer all your legal

questions for you within minutes for free.
